New Boots and a new Native Jacket...heavenly!!
something you call love, but confess.
You've been messin' where you shouldn't have been a messin'
and now someone else is gettin' all your best.
These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.
You keep lying, when you oughta be truthin'
and you keep losin' when you oughta not bet.
You keep samin' when you oughta be changin'.
Now what's right is right, but you ain't been right yet.
These boots are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you.
You keep playin' where you shouldn't be playin
and you keep thinkin' that you'll never get burnt.
Ha! I just found me a brand new box of matches yeah
and what he know you ain't HAD time to learn.
Are you ready boots? Start walkin'!

superbe ces santiags rouges, mais il faut oser les porter, car on ne doit pas passer inaperçu...
ReplyDeleteOh forgot to say, Damien Hirst is the bad boy of British contemporary art and I am sure the Virgin Mother caused massive controversy when it was first shown.
ReplyDeleteOh how marvellous. The boots, the photos and the song. Always knew you'd love red boots!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new acquisitions, Kate!
ReplyDeleteDo you HAVE to encourage her, Kate? Mrs jb's making the usual "Need! Need!" sounds already
ReplyDeleteA very nice red surprise, I have seen many red things today but this is my first footwear!
ReplyDeleteAn original choice for this Theme Day.
Boots are made for walkin' and these look almost new. You been walkin' in them?
ReplyDeleteI chose a picture I took 55 years ago of my Patty wearing a red dress. On April Fool's Day, April 1, 1955.
I gave her a diamond engagement ring, and today, April 1, 2010 is my entry for theme day on my Brookville Daily Photo blog.
I had to come back. LOL Got a kick out of this.

The romance apparently has died, and...
Nope. We just got out of shape.
Now you need a sassy red hat - preferably with a feather - to go with the boots.
ReplyDeleteYeah, elegant outfit and the boots look confortable for dance!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are great! Good choice!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for reminding me of Run Lola Run. I was trying to find that title but I couldn't remember what the name was. So, I typed "run run" in Google and Run Baby Run came first. I think "my" title suits my photo better as both "men" are black :-)) but I have seen your film and not mine!
It was Nancy's only hit. Those boots are 'groovie.'
ReplyDeleteOne of Nancy Sinatra's best songs!
ReplyDeleteAnd every gal needs a pair of red boots!
And this is a super post!
So you found the red boots! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteNice choice for the theme day.
Now I'm officially jealous! I don't have any red boots...yet. What fun for you! I have visions of Nancy Sinatra after reading your post!
ReplyDeleteI ,love those red boots. good image from Santa Fe for theme day!
ReplyDeleteGot almost the same ones!!
ReplyDeleteI love that song and your idea of combination!
I love your red boots!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo for theme day (and just in general a great photo). Love the addition of the song lyrics, too.
ReplyDeleteThose are some comfy looking RED boots! You and Sharon both thought of footwear! Fun.
ReplyDeleteThere's something about red boots that speaks to all of us cowgirls at heart. The jacket looks like it could be from a Chimayo weaver. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be stylin' in new RED boots, Great Kate!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you and yours!
As soon as I saw the boots, that song came to mind. Perfect for the theme day.
ReplyDeleteYeah, with those boots, immediately!
ReplyDeleteGreat image!
Happy Easter, Kate!
Nice red boots, and red type also.
ReplyDeleteNo one said it was Red Shoe Theme day. That's ok because I don't have any. Nice boots and I really love the jacket. Off to Chimayo tomorrow.
