My husand was an Airman during the Vietnam era and was a jet mechanic on the 52 Bomber. Such memories, he had friends that never returned. Hopefully the memorial will aid in healing. Ann
Kate...Such a touching tribute to very brave people, so many innocent people lose limb and life in futile wars.... may they all.....' Rest in Peace.' .Wars are often instigated by politicians who take no active part in them, yet, expect our brave Armed Forces to 'pick up the gauntlet' and fight on their behalf,,, so futile. Thank you for sharing this touching tribute, excellent photography too! Best wishes, Di.

ReplyDeleteThank you for remembering our nation's true heroes.
ReplyDeleteHeartfelt tributes to those that have fallen and given their lives to Country!
ReplyDeleteThere's great poignancy in these images, Kate... and even as a replica, that wall brings it out in people.
ReplyDeleteThe wall in DC, which I've been to, is moving, and I imagine your replica is as well.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would capture these things. I didn't have time when I went to check in on our volunteer group.
