The Capitol has a marvelous collection of art created by New Mexican artists, and I wonder how many people tour that section of the building. I've been there several times and have found that it's nice to be able to rest while viewing all the marvelous artwork. The benches themselves are works of art!
I also posted a photo of a bench on my other current blog, Visual St.Paul. Go visit!

Could you give me a pillow? I need a rest...
ReplyDeletesuperbe cette peinture sur ce banc, elle nous offre un superbe temps (qui nous manque aujourd'hui, il n'arrete pas de pleuvoir)
ReplyDeleteThe depth of the scene in the bench is very well done. It would take some time to get used to sitting on a bench that is a painting, as I would be afraid to touch it.
ReplyDeleteNeat bench, the painting is great.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful little bench.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. A perfect candidate for VP's A Bunch of Benches blog!

ReplyDeleteAmazing details.
I love the capitol art--especially the rotundas and the way it's arranged. And every time I've been there, capitol employees have been friendly and helpful....makes it a pleasure!!
ReplyDeleteKate , I've never been to the Capitol building... wow, that bench is a work of art! I love that "link within" feature- it allows me to find cool posts I've missed!
