ABC Wednesday-"P"=PARTING is Such Sweet Sorrow!

Because I love Santa Fe, it has been hard to leave and return to St. Paul, MN.  Although I've been back for about a month now I continued to post photos that I snapped while there, and need to stop now.  But, take heart!  I'm returning to my favorite city in July, and will again post more photos during the two weeks when I will be housesitting for friends while they're on vacation!  Can't wait!!

  1. It's hard to leave a place that has given you such wonderful memories but exciting to know you will soon return.

  5. Parting is always such sweet sorrow - even when it's with a beloved city. Enjoy your trip back, and then enjoy what St Paul has to offer!

  8. Hasta la vista is right. Now, are you going back to Santa Fe for a vacation or for good?

  9. I can relate to that too. When I say goodbye to my native country Philippines six years ago. Happy Wednesday!

  13. You just go from one "cool" place to another, in both senses of the word.

Re your comment on Tijuana Flats...I like names like that. We also have a Mexican restaurant here called Torero. I don't speak of it, though, as I got a bad case of food poisoning there a few years ago.

  14. Surprise or maybe not but it's pretty cold here today. We were supposed to be warm all weekend but Mother Nature had other plans. Walking around in a hoodie today. Hope your rain goes away.

  15. I suppose it's not much of a consolation to say that you are missing the horrendous winds that come here this time of year!

  20. Isn't that a favorite quote of the governor of California? "Hasta la vista, baby."

I took Spanish in school and used to live each summer in Tucson and had many chances to use it. It is amazing how little I remember now.

The same with Japanese. I could speak it pretty well but after I left and tried to speak to Koreans and Chinese in my faltering Japanese, I quit trying. LOL
