We had a similar situation in the backyard of our house on the east side of Ocala. Part of the yard was sort of held together with railroad ties. But over time the ties began to deteriorate. I would guess they've been replaced by now. They worked well for a long time, though.
Good point Kate, I never thought of it that way but you are right, so often after a few years a perfectly straight fence can be quite distorted for one reason or another.
This one has to be strong. Good choice. Fences serve so many purposes.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like mother nature is starting to win in parts of it.
ReplyDeleteLove the strong fence. I know it took a lot of work to build. We have a similar one holding the soil on one side of the backyard. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteWow sure looks like it doing a good job here :)
ReplyDeleteStrong and hearty fence doing its job as best as it can! Nice.
ReplyDeleteEven built with sturdy ties, nature with it's persistent force erosion will win in the end. Keeps mankind busy to keep it at bay!
