We discovered that place too. ...Love the decorations in there...the brick fireplace..or was it just a mantle? ....You have captured it well.Enjoy.
I'd say the owners know how to decorate with style.
We have stayed at the La Fonda several times. A friend of mine was a law clerk many years ago for a very senior Judge in Santa Fe. He said that every morning the Judge would invite him to accompany him to walk over to the La Fonda where they met some very senior lawyers for coffee, and had pretty much the same conversation every day.
I just bought a pastry this morning but I don't think you could call it "French". I love those little details.
A stylish place for coffee and pastries!
I like those little touches in a place.
Another thing we have in common Kate... French pastries, oh yeh!
That's the place! Packed and lively on a freezing winter's day. French onion soup and then a heavenly pastry. One of my favorite Santa Fe memories! I'd go back in a heartbeat.
I love copper decoration. The one in the first shot is great.
Lovely decorations, Kate!
It really is a nice place.
(Extra big grin) Thanks for this post!
Always nice to have a pastry shop around :)
Any French pastry shop is a friend of mine. I'll put it in my "log" in case we get to Santa Fe before we fade away!
Lovely details, Kate. I have stayed at La Fonda Hotel a couple of times and thought it was a good hotel perfectly located just off the plaza.
