My Santa Fe friend is an expert on baskets and has been collecting them for years from the Indian basket weavers' themselves. Here is a photo of just a small part of his collection.
These baskets are a very good idea, because I cannot break them when I am angry! You also can put snakes in them, and when you play music they come out of the basket....Yep, definitely like these baskets!
I don't know why, but I have a "thing" for these kinds of baskets. Not enough of a thing to collect them, but enough to enjoy a collection like this one! A lot of skill and hard work has gone into the creation of these baskets.
(P.S. I know you're going to say I'm a basket-case, so I thought, as they say in Sante Fe, I'd head you off at the pass!)
une belle collection, ils sont tres beaux, digne d'un musée

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful collection.
ReplyDeleteSome don't even look like baskets! Thought they might be plates. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great collection! Love all those patterns, some of them reminding me of the african hadicrafts.

A lot to be proud of there.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of work that goes into one of these is just enormous, but the end result is amazing! Beautiful collection I would love to see in person!
