My Friend's Baskets

My Santa Fe friend is an expert on baskets and has been collecting them for years from the Indian basket weavers' themselves.  Here is a photo of just a small part of his collection.

  2. These baskets are a very good idea, because I cannot break them when I am angry! You also can put snakes in them, and when you play music they come out of the basket....Yep, definitely like these baskets!

  4. Some don't even look like baskets! Thought they might be plates. :)

  5. That's a great collection! Love all those patterns, some of them reminding me of the african hadicrafts.

  6. I don't know why, but I have a "thing" for these kinds of baskets. Not enough of a thing to collect them, but enough to enjoy a collection like this one! A lot of skill and hard work has gone into the creation of these baskets.

(P.S. I know you're going to say I'm a basket-case, so I thought, as they say in Sante Fe, I'd head you off at the pass!)

  7. The amount of work that goes into one of these is just enormous, but the end result is amazing! Beautiful collection I would love to see in person!
