From Route 66

Auto from the past
It's no longer on the road
Hanging on a wall

A few miles from the Plaza on Old Las Vegas highway was located Bobcat Bite, a funky small restaurant, a popular spot that served the BEST green chili burgers.  It closed recently and then relocated downtown. Under a new name, Santa Fe Bite, the ambiance is totally different, but the green chili cheeseburger I ordered tasted the same!

  2. I can't imagine a green chili burger but I'll take your word that it tasted good and would try one if I had the chance! That car brought back memories. I had one very similar only in green back in the early 60s when we lived in Scottsdale!

  3. That's the main thing Kate.. it doesn't matter all that much whatever else changes, as long as the food stays as good as before.. a green chili burger you say, hmm wonder what that would be like !

  4. I remember those cars. It's a Studebaker according to my husband. I don't eat beef so I would have to pick something else from the menu.

  9. Beautiful image. My favorite color is red, so I really like all those warm tones in this one.

  10. Nice painting of the Studebaker. Green chile burgers are so tasty, especially if the chiles are grown at Hatch!

  11. Great colors. And I've been craving a burger lately. Green chili sounds like a tasty version. (Thankfully tonight is a chili rellano casserole, so at least I'll get a chili fix.)
