Tulips warm my heart!

  1. I always thought tulips were better than one; or none. Happy Valentine's Day!

  2. The lady in the floral department of our supermarket taught me that tulips do not benefit from the little packet of flower preservatives that we use for other flowers, but 1960's or earlier pennies in the water will preserve cut tulips. We have tried it, and it works.

  4. So pretty! The tulips in my yard have already started to come up. Of course it was 75 yesterday so who could blame them.

  7. Oh, you would LOVE the Skagitt Valley Tulip Festival (north of Seattle, the month of April each year). I think you must plan a trip to the Pacific Northwest.

We've got our own tulip festival here in May. It's a big one.

  10. I like tulips, too, but they never seem to stay alive for long enough.
