Meet Doug
Although Doug originally is from another state, he has lived in Santa Fe long enough to be considered a native. He and I shared a table last Saturday at the Farmers Market as we each ate our breakfast burritos. Knowing a lot about the different areas of the state of New Mexico, Doug gave me information about the pluses and minuses of different cities. Doug is involved in an organization called Earthwalks: which is a Santa Fe based organization that connects indigenous cultures with those interested in exploring traditional healing practices. We discussed education and life styles and discovered that we have similar interests.

what a great smile!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it great to meet people like this? A few weeks ago on one of my weekly trips to the botanical garden I sat next a woman who was in town for the weekend from the Sacramento area and we had the most wonderful conversation and exchanged emails at the end.
ReplyDeleteNice smile and another new friend! Have you ever visited Chaco Canyon? It is worth the trip and you are not far away.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful portrait of this gentleman, Kate! I think I also would find that we had some things in common!
ReplyDeleteHe has a very friendly look, could have a talk wih him too...
ReplyDeleteA splendid portrait of him, Kate!
ReplyDeleteInteresting people seem to happen in your life quite often. Nice portrait of Doug!
ReplyDeleteGreat smile!
ReplyDeleteNice portrait.
ReplyDeletePerfect portrait shot Kate, excellent bokeh.. it's fun to meet someone who is like minded.
ReplyDeleteDitto Judy's comment about visiting Chaco Canyon, though it's a long drive that's likely nasty in winter...and there's only camping there. But it's a spectacular place with haunting ruins.
ReplyDeleteDoug looks like a genuinely nice person. Good portrait.
A kind looking soul......who sounds very interesting
ReplyDeleteWell done portrait.
