Student from Minnesota

While checking out the Plaza for some interesting photos, I met Zach.  Another coincidence; he was visiting from Mounds, Minnesota.  He told me that he'll be staying here for a short while because "his lady" moved here and is working at St. Vincent's Hospital  Shortly, tho, Zach all be returning to Minnesota to resume his nursing studies at the University of Minnesota- Mankato.

  3. You can probably spot the people from Minnesota in a crowd because they wear a lighter jacket than everyone else.

You will probably like Jarart's Prescott Area Daily Photo post today.

Your cute story of your grandson's comment in Hawaii that you left on my site a couple of days ago reminds me of a comment my son made about Hawaii when he was 8 years old. I had just been promoted to partner at my firm, and he asked if that meant I would be making more money. I said yes.

He then asked if that meant we could be going on vacations. He had not been vacation-deprived, so I asked if there is anyplace in particular he wanted to go. He replied "Hawaii." When I asked him why, he said "Because you and mommy went there and did not take us."

We had gone to Hawaii when he was 5 years old. I had no idea he was carrying a grudge for 3 years. I doubt he knew much about Hawaii, other than if he did not get to go there, it must be good.

  10. Zach is a nice looking young man. I like the shades!

My DH said to let you know that he would never wear a pin on his hat and doesn't know anyone who would put that many on. I bet your DH would look great in a cowboy hat!

  11. Very nice portraits -- and I agree with Birdman that he could pass for a young Peter Fonda. Isn't it funny to run into "locals" when you travel?

  15. I read on another blog that your DH is declining to get a hat. There is a solution to that. Go get him one you like and give it to him. He'll get used to it.
