One small section of the multi-story dwellings in Bandelier National Park in New Mexico.
I haven't been in New Mexico since the winter of 2011 and am very excited to be returning on July 5 for a month-long stay. Be still my heart! Until I arrive and can take more recent photos, I'll be checking my archives and posting photos from that collection. Come Back Often!!

Always loved cliff dwellings...not to live in, you understand, but to look at. That must be you bravely hanging on to the ladder! Go up, young lady, go up! (You've already gone West!) :)
ReplyDeleteFascinating facade! Have a fabulous month there.
ReplyDeleteYou won, Kate! :-) This is the best façade I've seen so far today. Fantastic choice.
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind! I hope that you come back often while I am posting from SF this July!
DeleteLooks like they could use some double glazing round there! ;) Interesting shot.
ReplyDeleteenjoy your trip!! great contribution!
ReplyDeleteAs far as facades go, this one is among my favorite. And lucky you to be headed back to Santa Fe.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy! I love this magical city and state. Should have moved there years ago, but marriages require compromises!
Deletelooks like a set of faces!
ReplyDeleteFabulous in every way, Kate. I do love New Mexico and it will be fun to see more.
ReplyDeleteThanks! After I arrive on the 5th, I'll have new, fresh photos to share!
DeleteThis is one antique facade, wonderfully beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your Santa Fe blog on my blog roll this morning, my first thought was I don't think Kate went to Santa Fe last year. I know you're glad to be returning. Look forward to your photos of that wonderful area! And oh, for some of that REAL Mexican food! I'm jealous. Tex-Mex just doesn't cut it.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly area a faithful blogging friend, Kathy. Wish we could meet!!
DeleteThat is certainly and "old style" façade! What a great place to spend the summer!
ReplyDeleteI haven't visited Bandalier in almost a decade! My Santa Fe-bred friend gave a grand tour and this was so lovely to see. Thanks for a terrific and unusual facade!
ReplyDeleteKate is on the move! I visited Bandelier about a decade ago. It was wonderful. Enjoy your month in Santa Fe. I always regretted that I didn't buy that turquoise and silver belt buckle at Tom Taylor . . .
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time in Santa Fe. Glad you will be posting some more photos from there.
ReplyDeleteGood choice for the theme. I am not familiar with Bandelier, although I have been to Santa Fe about a half dozen times. I'll have to check it out next time.
Wonderful. Great interpretation of the theme. Have fun in NM.
ReplyDeleteHave had the good fortune to have visited and hiked Bandelier. I suspect your imagination and inquisitive mind would be challenged as much as mine was!
ReplyDeleteVery distinctive face, one knows immediately this must be somewhere in the Four-Corner area!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful stay in New Mexico,
Merisi
