Theme Day, March 1, 2010- Passageway

On a snowy wet Sunday morning, in order to get from one end of Cathedral  Park to the other, all you had to do was follow the brick PASSAGEWAY down the center.

  2. Excellent choice for the theme. When I was in Santa Fe in November and a thin coat of snow came down overnight, so I went out early (while it was still dark) and took some photos, including a photo from this exact spot.

  4. Beautiful light for a snowy scene, the benches and the fountain or monument in the background look superb!

  6. Oh you've surpassed yourself with this one, Kat. Absolutely beautiful. No other words.

Apologies for lack of comments. I fell and have torn cartilege around the ribs (now strapped up) AND have gastric flu so am feeling sorry for myself. I'll live tho!

  7. Great effect Kate .. also, I like how you captured the falling snow. It appears to be falling heavy enough that your passageway will soon be gone (smile).

  8. very beautiful image for theme day. I am glad to see you are in Santa Fe. We just got back from Tanzania Africa so I am a bit behind on catching up with everyone's websites. Thanks for all of your comments. santa Fe is a great place with lots of photo opportunities. Taos and Chimayo are wonderful day trips.

  9. What, snow? Say it isn't so! It is quite pretty, though.

  10. Nicely done, Kate. And while the snow is quite beautiful, I think that I'll come by in the summertime to walk your passageway!

  16. Great choice, I would want to sit on the bench and enjoy the snowfall before heading down the passageway, but I bet they are coooold.

  18. It's a good thing the passage was cleared!

The contrast of the brick and the snow is lovely.
