Kitsch on Canyon Road?!

The city of Santa Fe is justifiably proud of the art work that is on display and for sale on this narrow, winding street. Because it isn't the high season many of the galleries on Canyon Road  are closed, but there are a few shops still open.  I had to laugh when I saw this store because it is so different from what one would expect.  Click on the Canyon Road link above to learn more about this area.

  2. Ed Larson, the man who's gallery this is, is an incredibly cool man, a story in himself. Stop in and visit him sometime. He has a lot of stories, sprinkled with great humor. I worked for seven years at Deloney Newkirk on Canyon Road. I miss The Road...

  3. He has Jesus and Moses covered, but what would Mohammed say? And what about Buddha?

  4. How amazing. I love Dave's comments. Is the idea of saying 'Jesus Said buy Folk Art' intended to appeal to Born Again Christians? I do love the look of the place but not sure I'd want to be coerced in this way!

So sorry for lack of comments, Kate. And I can see I've missed some great days. I adored your snakes yesterday. I love snakes and was able to handle an enormous one once when I lived in Cairns.

  8. Kate,
Thank you for directing me back to the comments on Sharon's site and your follow up regarding edible nasturtiums. We have dinner with Sharon every couple of weeks or so. My guess is that we will be eating nasturtiums soon.

  10. I love this place. Kate were you there on Saturday and do you drive a white SUV. While we were parking I saw a vehicle with Minnesota plates and I thought it would be funny if we were walking down the same street at the same time. We didn't get far but we did happen to find quite a few open galleries.
