50 YEARS ago today, DH and I eloped at Old St. Mary's Church in Chicago. Since then the church has been razed, but we still are going strong and are still standing! It's been a wild and interesting ride in many respects, but our marriage has mellowed and become sweet and serene.

ReplyDeletesorry to be late but happy, happy anniversary!!!!! we, too, eloped and we've just celebrated 40.
ReplyDeleteI was stunned at this! You two certainly don't look like the people in 50th wedding anniversary photos I used to see in the newspapers of my youth! You are amazing.
ReplyDeleteAre you still in SF? The weather is so luxurious here in Las Cruces right now. Pansies in the planters, hollyhock plants and seedlings springing up everywhere in my yard, and roses growing like mad. Around town, I've seen fruit trees in bloom, and whole beds of daffodils. We so appreciate every single day here.
