Doorway to mi casa. Inside is a small courtyard which Maggi, our dog, often enjoys.

Yesterday I posted several dune trees, and Birdman from Portland, Maine suggested that he'd like to see them in Black and White. I posted one of them below, just for him. Great suggestion, Birdman!!
Birdman a raison, en b&w elle est encore plus belle et plus forte, vraiment j'adore cette photo
ReplyDeleteLove the bright color of your doorway. No way to get this in B&W.
ReplyDeleteKate, we're both posting doors today! Love the black and white dunes too.
ReplyDeleteTrees and doors are my weakness - so I'm just rolling around loving your post today. The sun on that beautiful blue door - wonderful. I can't believe you get to see that everyday!
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous southwestern door!
ReplyDeleteThis is a-DOOR-able.

So beautiful and inviting the doorway "to su casa". Love the green color with the clay (argila) color.
ReplyDeleteStunning photos of these dune trees, in B&W and in color too.
A friend of ours told us and showed us photos of courtyards of houses in Santa Fe painted with a horizontal stripe of that same color blue as in your gate separating a darker color for the lower portion of a wall from a lighter color of the top portion. For my wife's mother's patio home, we used that Santa Fe-inspired color scheme for her completely enclosed patio, and it turned out delightfully.
ReplyDelete(yes, thanks, birdman!)
ReplyDeletelove your perfect turquoise doorway!
A wonderful entrance to the courtyard. The color is perfect!
ReplyDeleteI like! We're on our way. Would you say "Mi casa, su casa?" :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the turquoise colour of your door/gate Kate, very inviting entrance into your 'casa'..
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of these courtyards with entrance doors. This one is a perfect color for Santa Fe.
ReplyDeleteThe B&W looks great too!
It is a beautiful, soft colour, your door.
ReplyDeleteHoly moley that doorway is awesome! =)

Is that a little farolito winking above to the the left? What a welcoming entrance! I love arched doors!
ReplyDeleteAnd the dunes photo is equally stunning in B&W. I'd be hard pressed to say one or the other is better. They're both gorgeous shots!
I love the bright color of your door. Very inviting!
ReplyDeleteI think it's more of a doorway, not a gate. Love the color of it, Great Kate!
ReplyDeleteI'm back on track after attending the Jaipur Daily photo blogger's wedding
Good idea from Birdman - but I like the color one too!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a wonderful entry. You know me I love that color on the gate. Nice b&w too.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cheerful entrance into your house!
ReplyDeleteThe tree DOES look great in black and white.
Kate, we should remember to link this Delightful Doorway to «Louis'» Monday Doorways this coming Monday.
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteI love bright colors & this Caribbean blue turquoise is beautiful. Perfect color for a shirt I'd say...actually looks like the color of one I own! At least there won't be any mistaking which door leads to your haven (lol). The black & white is pretty impressive too.
Nice photos.
Thanks for sharing.
