Richard
Richard was sitting on a park bench in the Plaza in Santa Fe when I approached him. He told me that he has been living here for 16 years, leaving Denver, Colorado to join one of the most beautiful women in the world. She's still beautiful, but they are no longer together although they are both still residing in Santa Fe. I didn't press him for more details and he didn't offer any. I'd bet that there is an interesting story behind that!!

i think so, too.
ReplyDeleteYou sure do come upon some interesting and interesting-looking people, Kate!
ReplyDeleteAs my mom would say, "handsome devil".
ReplyDeleteStories... we all have them... never ending.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should write down their life story at some point.
ReplyDeleteYou have made a nice portrait! He could use it on the cover of the book.
Maybe the woman will see your photo and . . . . well, there could be another chapter in that story.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous portrait Kate, he looks just like an old movie star. Yes I bet his story would be interesting!
ReplyDeleteNice portrait and hat.
ReplyDeleteHis story sounds like a Charlie Rich song, and that hat shows he has good taste.
ReplyDeleteThe things we do for love. . .but moving to Santa Fe is clearly nothing to regret. Nice portrait!
ReplyDeleteB&W worked well for this portrait. A very photogenic subject!
ReplyDeleteVery nice portrait, Kate. If I had been given a line like that, I would have barged in and made him tell me the rest of the story. Subtlety and I don't get along . . .
ReplyDelete"Howdy, Richard! Nice meeting you! From what I hear you have a little story to tell. Now, how's about it? Kate took a great portrait or you and made you look like a gentleman of the west, so spill it, mister! The whole world wants to know."
ReplyDelete:-)
